How EIOSHS handles your data.
This privacy notice explains what personal data EIOSHS collects through its website, why we collect it, and your rights under the GDPR.
01Controller
European Institute for Oral and Systemic Health in Space (EIOSHS), a Belgian non-profit organization (vzw/asbl) currently in formation.
Until the formation procedure is completed, the natural persons preparing the formation act as joint controllers within the meaning of Art. 26 GDPR.

02Data we collect
When you submit the waitlist or contact form we collect: name, email address, and optionally organization, country, professional role, area of interest and your message.
We do not use third-party analytics or advertising cookies on this site.
03Purpose and legal basis
We process your data to keep you informed about EIOSHS research updates, community information and future opportunities to become involved.
The legal basis is your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you tick the consent box on the form.
04Retention
We keep your data until you withdraw your consent or request deletion, and in any case for no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you. Operational backups are kept for a short period and then erased.
05Recipients and storage
Your data is stored on infrastructure operated within the European Union by our processors, acting under a data processing agreement in line with Art. 28 GDPR. We do not transfer your data outside the European Economic Area and we do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.
We do not use your data for automated decision making, including profiling.
06Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to the processing of your data, and to withdraw consent at any time.
You may exercise these rights by contacting contact@eioshs.org. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données), www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.
